I'm flying back from Hawaii on the 31st, and I could change my flight to go to LA or try to road trip down, but my wife is going to be 6 months pregnant then and isn't thrilled with the idea of flying home alone/being without a car (we only have one), and given that we're trying not to be too profligate with our money, and I don't have any cheap options for staying the night on the 31st. Plus attending the game without her would be sad for me.)
Congrats Stupac! You definitely have your priorities in order. My wife was 6 months pregnant with our second at RB2K. I asked her if it was OK for me to go alone and she insisted on going down and taking our older one (then 3) to Disneyland on New Year's Eve. She didn't go to the game, I wasn't going to say no to the trip. And now she and both my boys are going to their 3rd Rose Bowls!
I have a sense you will have multiple opportunities to go to a Rose Bowl as a family.
