I don't want to rely on Oregon losing to hand us the division, because that would involve a Literature's most famous losers win.  Gross.  Just beat the weenies.  If we don't do that the year is a failure anyway.

This raises an interesting question. How do we classify failure? I'd be curious to know how people feel about this. If you had to choose one of two scenarios, which would you prefer?

A. Stanford loses to Cal, but backs into the P12CG, wins there, and wins the Rose Bowl.
B. Stanford beats Cal, but loses P12CG.

I chose A without hesitation.
