Whatever it is that I fear emphasizes tempo and sideline to sideline plays that are designed to wear down the front seven. This strategy has been adopted by UCLA and Oregon and WSU and Arizona against us in the past couple of years. The hope is to pop long plays up the middle once the front seven are exhausted sprinting sideline to sideline. The defense against it is frequent rotation of players. It has had limited success against us because we have been deep enough to rotate players. I fear that our loss of depth will make us more vulnerable to the strategy.
