He will likely be a linebacker in college.  He camped at Stanford, so they know what he can do.  He could be wrestling steers after practice.  We may need a few less prep school types and a few more Ben Gardner/David Parry types to toughen up.

This "Stanford star recruits aren't though enough" narrative needs to stop, ASAP.  Players' toughness and competitiveness is a function of what the head coach demands and inspires as much as it is from players being soft on their own.  Remember, there have been concerns voiced by people close to the program that the players might be softening under Shaw. 

That said, I loved what I saw from SS Ben Edwards and ILB Mustafa Branch on Saturday.  Those guys play with great physicality and are anything but soft.
