USC can be counted on to lose games it shouldn't, and to perform below its potential. UCLA shows signs of that, too.
I'd like to see Sark stay. I was delighted when USC signed him. I was certain they could not do worse than Kiffin, and was stunned they managed to stay so close. He's a child, but he was Haden's best option; it's not like E O represented a step up, either.
SC seems to like this model in a coach. McKay fits the mold, and Robinson came close, and Kiffin lapped the field for sheer dickishness. I think SC boosters want boorish coaches, and perhaps both LA teams now think they need boors like these guys to offset the Hollywood and thongs atmosphere around the two campuses. Chris Peterson, Mike Riley, David Shaw--they'd never get a whiff down there, I bet.
