No effect this year. When has USC ever had much team discipline? And when have any of Sark's teams been disciplined? Moreover, players already know that there's one set of rules for them and a different set of rules for the coach. I just don't see this affecting the team's play much at all. And if Sark does wind up being suspended, the likely replacement is as good or better a game-day coach as Sark is.
Whatever cost this has for USC will be longer-run, as offended boosters will be less generous, and some opposing coaches will use this incident as ammunition for negative recruiting.
