Must say, disappointing.  But a reminder to take student comments about "the 40 year decision" and high stress on academic with a grain (or maybe a heaping portion) of salt.


On the other hand, maybe he is committing to Oregon to hold a place and then goes ahead with the Stanford application process.

Yeah, I've never been a fan of recruits committing and continuing to take visits, but perhaps the schools contribute to that by telling them if they don't pull the trigger now there won't be a place for them.
