I think you all missed my point entirely. Criminology and kinesiology are majors that Stanford doesn't offer. They also are majors that lead to non-white-collar careers. There are majors at Stanford that might start with similar material but go deeper or approach from a different angle, and position students for white collar careers with higher paychecks. Humbio might be a good alternative to criminology and could lead to a career as a forensic science examiner instead of a career as a detective. Not for everyone, but it's certainly a less dangerous and higher paying job in the criminal justice field. The comment about Sioux Falls was just to make the point that this particular kid may not have considered all the majors out there and that being from the credit card capital of the world doesn't necessarily change that.
