Short of some kind of natural disaster, I'm honestly not sure how this offseason could be worse for the niners. One of the best coaches in the NFL is forced out, replaced by someone who seems like a complete yes-man (because that works so well in the NFL), and pretty much every star or replacement is leaving, many of them in shocking fashion. On /r/NFL 49ers fans are more pitied than Browns fans right now. Let that sink in.

Could everything work out? Sure. But I think it takes a real homer to expect improvement over 8-8 this year.
