With JH in the stands (hey, at least we know he wasn\'t out interviewing), Jordan Richards starred on both offense (10 catches for 207 yards) and defense (11 tackles and an interception) in helping Folsom to a victory over powerhouse Grant, who had blown them out in an earlier season game.

In Palo Alto,  DE Kevin Anderson helped his Paly team to a CCS championship victory over Valley Christian.

Both teams may represent their areas in the playoff games against their Southern counterparts.

We went to SJCC to watch the Paly-Valley game.  Surprised how dominant Palo Alto was (don\'t be fooled by the score). Paly is big and fast and Bono was very accurate and efficient. He also punts, place kicks, and handles kickoffs. (Not in Andrew Luck\'s league on the tackling.....)Nice touchdown pass from 40 yards out on 4th down, and the same receiver (#3 - can\'t remember the name) caught a second TD over Byron Marshall on a quick screen, broken tackle and 76 yard run. (Marshall is Valley\'s super stud junior -- brother of ASU\'s Cameron Marshall -- and I thought he had a Stanford "offer", although I could be wrong.)  Marshall scored a TD and looked pretty good on some runs, but had a horrible night defensively.  I sat with a few dozen WCAL players from various schools, and rumor has it that Marshall just doesn\'t like to play defense. Anderson had a few tackles and one sack.  Looked effective on the offensive line. Didn\'t seem otherworldly or the dominant player in the game.  I\'d give that award to the receiver (#3). Paly used an onside kick and fake punt very effectively too. Hope they do well at State.  Basically they won the WCAL this year, beating Mitty, Bellarmine and Valley Christian back to back to back.
