That's disappointing. It was cited that scheduling issues was the reason why there was no UConn-Stanford matchup this year and it seemed like Tara and Geno both wanted the rivalry to continue, I wonder what the issue is?

perhaps. at first I was thinking maybe the Samuelson sisters didn't want to be playing each other and that would explain 2 years rather than 1 (as Karlie will be a junior this year) but (a) they probably would WANT to see each other and (b) that makes no sense for a team to not play another team.
You think Geno would appreciate it -- their loss to us last year was what led to changes that were key for their national championship run. He owes Tara more than a box of chocolates!

KLS could have fixed that, by going to Stanford instead of UConn...

Samuelson sisters have played against each other. There was a tournament, in OC, involving club and HS teams in the summer of 2010. Bonnie and Karlie played for Edison HS and Lou played for Ca,l Swish in a game against each other. Lou at 13, held her own against Bonnie and Karlie. Game seemed fun for all players with the last name of Samuelson.
