Looks like Wilner is plagiarizing your "Jim Harbaugh\'s alma mater" shtik, Yvonne :)

That\'s about the coolest thing I\'ve heard. Â Just when I think I couldn\'t love Jim Harbaugh any more than I already do, I come across something like this. Â Thanks for sharing the link.

I\'ll admit when I clicked on this thread I was thinking you meant something else about his \'alma mater\'

Yes, we knew you\'d have premature, um, something over that.

Gotcha!
I was pretty sure I knew what Yvonne meant. Of course it helps that my Facebook was filled with Paly alums also raving about Harbaugh\'s alma mater. Great win by Palo Alto (and all the other NorCal teams) in this year\'s State Championships. I wonder if this is a sign that NorCal football is maturing? I\'d feel better if I saw the same success at the other levels but I\'m hearing the area Pop Warner teams were blown out in Florida.
MM - we wish you all the luck in the world (particularly when you\'re playing "The" OSU and ND) BUT WITH YOUR CURRENT COACH and that you meet our coach next year in the Rose Bowl! That\'s the best scenario for both teams. Â
(It probably weakens my point but should the two teams meet in the \'12 Rose Bowl, I think Stanford wins the coaching battle, Harbaugh can take RichRod.)

Mmmmmm, not quite. Â Any team finishing the regular season in the top 10 in the BCS standings realistically can aspire to finish the next regular season as one of the two teams heading to the BCS NCG. Â Stanford at #4 absolutely should have the BCS NCG as one of the goals.
The BCS NCG is not in Pasadena next year, so therefore going to the Rose Bowl is not the best scenario for Stanford.

Speak for yourself! My brother and his wife are Ohio State grads . . . Go Buckeyes!

Sorry Terry! Â I thought accepted Cardboard wisdom was that the Buckeyes were part of the evil empire - Cal, ND, USC and "The" OSU. Â I stand corrected.

Evil Empire has different connotations for everyone given the diverse regional draw from which Stanford folks come. Â Even kal is more of an annoying trouble to some divided households rather than an opponent to whom no quarter is given.

The 59ers, USC, and Notre Dame are the axis of evil. Where on earth would you get the idea that we even
care about Ohio State, Lefty?
It\'s just another football factory: Alabama, Texas, Nebraska, Michigan, Ohio State, Miami, Florida State, they\'re all basically the same.

Guess it\'s just me then. Â Hated \'em since Woody Hays punched an opposing player in the face. Â The continuous over-rated poll numbers and subsequent flops in games against SEC champs hasn\'t helped.
OK ..... the axis of evil is USC, Cal and Notre Dame. Â We then all add our personal devils. Â Â Mine are Ohio St and Miami.

Ohio State and Oklahoma for me. Â Maybe A&M and Texas Tech ;) Â I would add UW to the axis of evil personally.
