One more try for former Stanford QB ... -

Brett Nottingham is listed on the 2015 roster for the Columbia Lions.

Assuming the info is accurate, good for him to give football another try. He quit the team last year during the season but Columbia has a new HC.
I did a search for Evan Crower. So far I haven't seen that he's on anyone's roster...
EDIT: Looks like the Nottingham news is mostly old. He was back with the team during spring practice, according to this article:
Quote: In April of 2013, it was announced that former Stanford quarterback Brett Nottingham would join the Columbia football. After being injured for the 2013 season, he had a lackluster 2014 and quit the team. But Nottingham has been back on the Columbia field for spring practices in 2015, and a Columbia Athletics spokesperson confirmed on Wednesday that hes on the roster for the upcoming season.Â

Nottingham must have received a hardship sixth-year waiver from the NCAA. This is interesting considering the recent thread about sixth-years and Noor Davis in the Pac 12 Media Days thread.

My memory of Nottingham's career.
2010 - redshirt
2011 - second string to Luck
2012 - lost initial qb battle to Nunes. Appeared in 2 games. Passed by Hogan. Transferred to Columbia
2013 - injured.
2014 - played in 4 of Columbia's 10 games.
I think that playing in 4 games out of 10 is too many games to receive a medical redshirt for 2014. That would lead me to surmise that he may have been injured in 2012 which could count as a medical redshirt. Thus he would have missed two years (2012,2013) due to injuries which would then seem to satisfy the sixth-year waiver criteria.
But, I never heard he was injured in 2012. That might put a different light on the Nunes/Nottingham debate carried on so voiciferously over the first year after Luck moved on.
Or, are there different rules for FCS?
Anyone?
Terry?
