It's little.  It's a gem.  It's perfect.  It's a perfect spaghetti haggis western.

I think this may be a behr coat.  The director used to be in the Beta Band.

I wish you would tell me why.  The first 30 seconds of the sound track did nothing for me.  At least a trailer?

Re: See this film - oman - 07-28-2015

Don't see the trailer.  Intentionally didn't put that in because the movie works as a small surprise.

Here is a section of a review:

The great news about “Slow West” is that it’s eighty-four minutes long. I saw the title and braced myself for a three-hour prairie trek, with balls of tumbleweed in supporting roles. Instead, we have a lean fable, set in 1870, about a sixteen-year-old Scottish lad named Jay (Kodi Smit-McPhee), who travels to America in search of Rose (Caren Pistorius), his one true love. Jay’s belongings include a teapot and a book entitled “Ho! For the West!!,” and his survival skills amount to precisely nil. He even flunks the cracking of an egg. Out of a pine forest comes a lone rider, Silas (Michael Fassbender), who offers to chaperone him through the wilderness to Colorado, where Rose is said to bloom. Cost: a hundred bucks.

If this is some obscure cultural reference that escapes me, sorry. Meanwhile...I'm pretty sure that's a buffalo coat.

It's more of an obscure personal reference.

The point of the recommendation, and anyone who wants to post other gems on this thread in the future, is that it's kind of a little movie, and probably not something that everyone would like, so its one of those deals where if it is mentioned, and then someone you really trust also recommends it, or it pops up on netflix streaming, you might want to give it a try.  I just think this movie deserves some buzz.  It's a bastard child of Dead Man and Open Range and its being released kind of in an odd way.

Obviously not everyone liked jangly guitars.  But if you are one of those people that does so, perhaps this is for you.
