Vernon Adams - Extra Point - 07-09-2015
According to the Oregonian, Adams was unable to complete his academic requirements for graduation at Eastern Washington during the first summer session. The soonest he might graduate and transfer to Oregon will be August 14th. Oregon begins fall camp on August 10th and Adams cannot take part in summer training sessions at Oregon until he graduates. How is a kid having trouble passing two math tests going to pick up the Oregon play book and integrate effectively with his new team mates in this amount of time?

I don't think that is what the linked article says, though to be sure it is very confusing.
It seems that the author is speculating that if Adams needs a summer class in order to graduate, then that cannot be finished before August 14. However, the author also writes that Adams has to complete work on a spring math class, presumably an incomplete, and that he told Bruce Feldman that this work would be done in two weeks.
By the way, where did you get the two math tests part? I don't see it in the article.

Don't forget he was already accepted to a U of Oregon Grad school. That's how he was able to play. Ugh

So he has to complete and pass the math class, then officially graduate from EWU, then he can enroll at Oregon, then he can practice with the team.
This will be a non-issue by the end of July. If Adams needs help (or motivation) to complete the classwork, you better believe he will get it.

If he's able to get his academic issues in order, I doubt the playbook will be much of an issue for him. The Ducks only run four plays on offense anyway.

The Ducks have a lot more than four plays in their arsenal, although they do run four or five plays frequently. Their core offense requires that the quarterback make quick reads and execute in sync with the other skill players. This takes a lot of practice and knowledge about defenses that Adams will not be getting in two weeks. I doubt that he will have any significant playing time at Oregon this year.

If that's true somebody sure sold him a bill of goods to get him to Eugene. No doubt he would have gone somewhere else if he thought that was going to be the case.

??? The problem here is one he would've had anywhere, that is he actually has to graduate to be eligible to play. If he had graduated on time there wouldn't be any issue.
