Looking for athletes who are successful in non-sports businesses -
yvonne - 03-04-2015
I'm looking to interview former athletes who are successful in business. By that, I mean entrepreneurs, business owners, and those at divisional management levels or higher. I'm interested in talking with those who are in a business that is
NOT related to sports.
If you know anyone who fits that bill, please private message me with names and contact information.

Do they have to be Stanford athletes?

No, they do not have to be Stanford athletes.

Couple of suggestions:
1) Laird Q. Cagan, who played soccer at Stanford and provided funding for the soccer stadium. Hence the name of the stadium.
2) Joe Hudepohl, one of the most decorated high school swimmers of all time who had a nice career at Stanford. Now an investment banker, I've heard, who does charitable work.

Yvonne,
Unfortunately, I don't have a personal relationship with either of the individuals I suggested. I believe the athletic department at Stanford could connect you with Laird Cagan, as I think he retains close ties with them and is based in the Bay Area. I pulled out the suggestion of Joe Hudepohl from discussions about him that I've read on SwimSwam.com, and thought he had an interesting bio. I think he's in Florida, but that's all I know.
Sorry I overlooked the most important factor in your soliciting suggestions -- i.e., how to get in touch with them.
