Re: UCLA 69, Stanford 67 - Papa John - 02-05-2015

I'm a fool. I absolutely thought Stanford would rebound from the Pullman paralysis on its home court against UCLA--everybody gets excited to play UCLA, right?

I think that garvin is spot on. We needed this win--not just for tournament seeding, but to get into the tournament. Stanford's remaining conference schedule, with RPI-as-of-Thursday-morning in parentheses:

USC (178)
@Utah (11)
@CU (95)
Cal (113)
@UA (4)
@ASU (120)
OSU (84)
UO (54)

After the last month, does anyone think this team can even go 6-2 against this schedule?  I don't, and finishing 11-7 in this conference with one quality win all year is not likely to get Stanford into the tournament.  Last night was a MUST WIN and for over 75% of the game this team simply didn't show up.
