MBB: Stanford versus UCLA - Papa John - 02-05-2015

Tipoff at 6ish PT on ESPN2. Call me a fool, but I'm expecting a sweep of the LA schools in Maples.

Tonight's game is a MUST WIN if Stanford wants to remain above the bubble.  I'm not worried about U$C on Saturday they are simply awful.

Sitting in Northern Florida, waiting for my wife and two girls to join me in a day or so, watching the team on the tube, first time I've seen them play since 1964-65 when UCLA killed them with tghe 6' 5" Keith Ericsson dominating the paint.  Not a lot of improvement, basketball-wise, in the last 50+ years and a pathetic number of empty seats in Maples.  Arrillaga ought to demand his money back....

I'm not sure Stanford basketball's twitter feed realizes this isn't a good thing: https://twitter.com/stanfordbball/status/563533257615360001

And they declared this a "premium" game so none of their litany of promos is valid tonight - and it shows.  Looks like the upper deck is at most 50% full.

How come Walton had a better play for the end of the game than JD?
