Anyone know his status? I don't know if he has played since early in the season. He played big nickel last year at times and is a great tackler and seems like he would be a good option to fill in for Hoffpaur.
If he is out for the season with injury, any chance he could get a medical redshirt and come back for a sixth year? If I remember correctly, he had an injury in high school which may have carried over to his freshman (redshirt year). My understanding a sixth year is only granted if you lose two years to medical injuries. Thus, his freshman year was a redshirt year and he could only get a sixth year if that year was also a medical redshirt.

I believe I saw #40 in on special teams against OSU, so it would seem he's available.

He's been playing special teams.
