ESPN says that Alexander will shoulder most of the duties at nickel back. Is the omission of Harris an oversight, does ESPN's statement reflect that Alexander has passed Harris, or is Harris just seen as a backup corner rather than a nickel back?
Also, any word on the development of Lloyd or Whitfield? I was really hoping to see more from at least one of them.

That really hurts against Oregon. Zach is really good at open field tackling on short passes. I hope he's back soon.

The stadium announcer credited Lloyd with the TD-preventing tackle on the Beavers' long play in garbage time last game. So either the announcer was wrong or Lloyd is getting the 2nd (maybe 3rd) team reps.

Whitfield and Lloyd were the two safeties on that last drive. Lloyd was actually the second to hit the ball carrier (I missed spotting who was first), so I'm not sure if he deserves credit for keeping him out of the end zone.

Whitfield looked terrible on that play, just totally flat-footed.

Hoffpauir has been just outrun several times earlier this season. While I'd rather have him than not, and agree he is a pretty sure tackler and good hitter, I always figured Oregon was a game that could present problems for him. His coverage skills out of the slot leave something to be desired.
