Sorry to steal WIM's thunder...
I didn't watch it, but Utah beat OSU in a defensive affair in overtime. The score was 16-166 and Utah won it in the second OT.

That explains our offensive woes, we haven't discovered the 150-point play.

Did somebody introduce the Golden Snitch to football and not tell me?

Our November 15 rematch with Utah is shaping up to be a very tough game.
Geaux Cardinal!

Utah seems to have the best combo of O and D in the Pac-12. The fact WSU beat them speaks to the depth of the conference, which, IMO, is also the toughest in the country.
Most depth of good teams.
Only conference that plays nine conference games and a championship game.
Only conference where every team plays at least five road games per year.

Utah may have the most even offense and defense, but it's not the best combo.
Essentially by definition, the best combination is the best team in the league (perhaps depending upon how much weight you give to special teams). In my opinion, Utah is not the best team in the league. I think their next 5 games (USC, @ASU, Oregon, @Stanford, Arizona) is a buzz saw that is going to chew them up to little bits.
Though the league is confusing enough it is not at all clear who is the best team.
Anyway, Utah's offense is #10 in the conference in yds/play.
Utah's defense is #2 in the conference in yds/play.
Stanford is and #7 and #1. Oregon is #1 and #7.

Utah's defense reminds me of ours. Very eerily similar. Not good for our matchup. We really need to figure a way to block #8 Orchard. I hope Hogan can see Orchard through the Trees. ;)

59ers with an awful short kickoff and terrible tackling in tight 24-21 game.

Bruins up 36-34 over the Bears. Bears have possession with about 3:30 left in the 4th quarter. Cal can't tackle and UCLA hold onto the ball.

Hmm, I don't know if I'd call that an INT.

I thought that was a terrible call. He didn't have control of the ball before his right foot was out of bounds. Replay "confirmed" it was a catch. Fishy...

There are? I agree there are people running around the field dressed up like officials. That's where the resemblance ends.

Oregon scores on a run on 3rd-and-8. I was just about to post a snarky notice about how I felt their offensive line was getting pushed around...
Anyway, what's a bit odd is that their formations seem to be a bit less *spread* than they used to. The formation they scored from had, I believe, eight bunched together in the center of the formation.

The real Pac-12 referees are tied up and held hostage somewhere. It's the only possible explanation.
