I am so glad I'm not 9 today. When I was in grade school the lunch bell signified "let the trading begin." My Mom probably still thinks I liked Hostess fruit pies. But I only asked for her to pack them in my Bonanza themed lunch pail because I could trade them for anything I wanted. Fortunately, I liked healthy food and most kids wanted the junk food. For a chemically preserved gelatinous filled artificially flavored deep fried pie, I could get a roast turkey sandwich plus an apple and a banana.
