Down 14-0 at half vs. Georgia State?
Outgained 233 to 72 at half!
UW was -35 in case you're curious.

Georgia State, by the way, is a
bad team. Even struggling is not a great sign.

Utah is making up for it.

UW has looked far superior in the 3rd quarter. I didn't watch the first half, so no idea what was going on with them then. 14-14 now.

On one hand, I don't want to play an angry UW team. On the other hand, if they lose to GS, does it really matter if they're angry?

Maybe the same thing as the Skunkbears and App State, except the Huffkies didn't break any laws and any psychoactive effects must have worn off by halftime.

Somehow UW is winning the turnover battle 3-0 and is only up 27-14.

There were some nice SEC losses this weekend so maybe the incessant TV talking head worship will ease somewhat or at least drop to an ignorable drone. #8 LSU, #18 Missouri and UVA have all lost. FSU and Jameis should take care of #22 Clemson in the Iran v Iraq Gulf war game.
The SEC is good but NOT 5 in the top 10 good.

Final score -- 45-14 -- highly deceptive. Yards per play:
UW: 5.02 -- pitiful against FCS opposition.
GSU: 3.70 -- very good.
Difference, of course, was UW's turnover edge. Who knows what this means for next week's game, but UW has played poorly against three of its four opponents.

I assume you meant 7.3 yards/play. 3.7 would not be very good at all.

I know the crazy conference realignments make it tough to keep up. But last time I checked, UVA wasn't in the SEC.Â

Nope, I meant it was 3.7 yards/play is a good performance -- from UW, especially when you factor in the 4 turnovers. You might argue that that's what you'd expect versus a bad FCS opponent, which is fair.

Oh yeah, ACC. Whoops. Good point, Roberton.

Georgia State is an FBS team that plays in the Sun Belt.

Only just got there, so most of their roster is FCS-quality.

UW scored 45 pts in the second half while shutting out GA St. to win, 45-14.Â

Yeah, I'm taking zero comfort in the UW-Georgia State game in terms of what it might portend on Saturday.
Indeed, one way to look at it is that "the light went on" for UW under Petersen in the 2H of the Georgia State game . . . just in time for the Cardinal game. :'( :'(
