Thank goodness! This kid is a stud and already plays in a pro-style offense...so few high school QBs take a snap from under center these days. I really hope he commits to the good guys.

Of course the question now is, will the Stanford education opportunity be enough to land him, or will some other program overcome the value of it with a bigger cash offer?

Potentially landing a player of Costello's caliber alleviates the need for a 2015 QB

If Annette Costello is KJ's mother, she also retweeted Coach Shaw.

Interesting that previously many thought Costello to be a lock for U$C, with Stanford maybe having an outside chance of landing him. Sounds like our chances have significantly improved. You have to think that Ricky Town coming in to U$C next year, with us not having an elite prospect (at least not yet) would help our chances.

USC Has commitments from both Town and Sam Darnold.

Well, this from Greg Biggins, one of the Scout scouting chiefs,
"If the Cardinal don't sign a '15 QB, I think they could end up the team to beat"
Which may mean he pulled this out of his rear, or may mean he heard it from qb/family. If there is any truth to it, it sheds some more complicated light on the 2015 QB recruiting saga.

Most of those thinking U$C is a lock do not fully understand the whole situation. People jumped on the U$C prediction bandwagon shortly after they offered him because of his proximity to the school and the following tweet:

Quote:Been dreaming of this ever since I could remember. Feeling blessed to say I just received an offer from USC
That tweet sounds much less dramatic than the one he wrote for the Stanford offer last night.
Yvonne made the most significant point in this young man's recruitment. The Trojans are signing two QBs this cycle and have Max Browne ('13) and Jalen Greene('14) in the stable. Stanford will have myabe Burns ('13), Chryst ('14), and as of right now no one in 2015 to compete with for playing time beginning his redshirt freshman year.
