Shaw gave a motivational speech to the U.S. men's national soccer team yesterday: https://twitter.com/StanfordFball/status/470250173562499072
And the LSJUMB gave a send-off; Clint Dempsey enjoyed:

Another blurb for the promotional material:
Quote:With the team's stay in Northern California now at an end, Klinsmann was full of praise for the team's accommodations, which allowed the squad to get the requisite amount of work done. He was especially pleased with the facilities at Stanford University.
"I think I've never had a better setup than this," Klinsmann said. "I understand European teams coming over here, like Juventus during preseason. Two training fields, the locker room they kind of decorated for us, going to eat lunch with the students -- it's all top quality. And the climate in California you can't beat. It's been terrific."

Klinsi's seems like he speaks in a mix of successories posters and movie trailer blurbs most of the time anyway, but other people don't know this, so we can run with it.

Oh, and it seems current Stanford men's soccer player Jordan Morris got the chance to train with the full national team: https://twitter.com/Reddit_MLS/status/472223716441481216
He's entering his sophomore year, but I'd guess he gets a professional offer December 2014 or January 2015.
