I thought he was our best safety and am surprised that he didn't get first or second team. There is talk of Reynolds going pro but isn't Richards the better NFL prospect and also draft eligible?  Anyone know if he is considering the leap?

I have no idea what he is thinking, but believe he is an excellent tackler and has improved his presence & range as he has gained experience.  Tacking from our safeties has really minimized big gains over the last 2 years.

I've never quite been clear on this, but if Richards leaves early does that hurt our APR/Graduation Rate? I mean, assuming he hasn't completed a degree in 3 years (which would be extremely impressive if so).

My guess is that he'll be back, but who knows?

He may be the best player on the defense and the only player who never leaves the field.

Isn't there a qualifier for early departures? - Redrum - 12-02-2013

I thought it didn't count against the grad rate if a player left for the pros but was in good academic standing when he departed.  This would differentiate him from guys who screwed around in school and left just ahead of flunking out.
