Stanford with 12 on All Pac-12 Team -
OutsiderFan - 12-02-2013
Montgomery made it as both a WR and as Return Specialist.
Will Sutton Defensive POY over Murphy. Kind of a slight to me. Also thought Jordan Richards deserved to be on the team over Ed Reynolds.
ASU led with 13 guys on the team. Further proof that you need at least 10 players good enough to be all conference (between 1st and 2nd teams) to be a conference champion.
Myles Jack winning O & D player of the year says as much about him as it speaks to the dearth of quality Frosh who played in the Pac-12 this season, IMO. I can't think of any other Frosh who was particularly impressive.

4 of 5 OLine members get named to the squad.

I hope that Stanford and Trent Murphy use this egregious injustice as extra motivation.
Also of note - the entire Stanford offensive line was recognized. Yankey 1st team; Peat, Fleming and Wilkes 2nd team; Danser honorable mention.

And Danser has had a great year.

And was an honorable mention.

No honorable mention for Hogan.
Hundley, Mannion, Kessler, Goff, Price each recd. a honorable mention.
I suppose coaches don't consider him as a top-7 qb in the PAC12.

Goff over Hogan, at the very least, is hilarious; still not as bad as Jordan Richards, somehow only an honorable mention.

I'd take Hogan over Goff every day of the week, and twice on Sunday.

I think everyone but Murphy, Gardner, Skov, and Gaffney, though I may be wrong about some of the OL, I think they all have eligibility.

Honorable Mention typically means the player received at least one vote. I don't know how the balloting works for these teams, but let's assume that coaches name their first and second teams. Then this result means not that no coach thinks Hogan is top 7, but that no coach thinks Hogan is top 2 (reasonable), and
some coach thinks Goff is top 2 (!).

Danser and Wilkes are gone (5th year seniors). Yankey is eligible to return but I would be surprised if he came back. Reynolds also is eligible and may leave but definitely should come back (I doubt he'll be any higher than a 3rd round draft pick, and we really need him next year as we have little to no depth at free safety).

Honestly, based on this season alone, would anyone take Sutton in their first five defensive picks?

For some reason I thought Danser had eligibility left, I also got mixed up and thought Wilkes was the HM, not Danser. I guess only off by one either way!
And I too think we'll get Reynolds but not Yankey back. We'll see in January though.

Jordan Richards is academically and in eligibility a junior.

I see that Richards is a public policy major, which is a tough major so he's probably a smart guy. Maybe he had enough AP credits to make him a senior.
