They never learn - OutsiderFan - 11-16-2013

Couldn't help but notice this on the lead up to the picks on Gameday.  Paraphrasing...

Nelson Agohlor:  We're USC.  We're suppose to win games like this.

Trent Murphy:  We know they're a good team and expect their best effort.

Translation:  USC believes they should win because they are who they are, despite the fact they have lost four in a row to Stanford.  Stanford OTOH, respects the opponent and knows they have to put in the (hard) work to win.

This is the same attitude USC rolled into the Stanford game with last year.

USC is not winning because they are USC.  They are winning if they are better prepared and work harder than Stanford.  I have seen nothing to indicate USC is capable of being more prepared or outworking Stanford.  That goes back to 2007.  Now, the talent gap between the programs is as small as it has ever been in my lifetime.
