Not sure the Pac-10 will do anything.
The refs should have recognized his equipment problem. Â If a player lost a shoe, they would hold the next snap to allow the player to get the equipment and get off the field. Â Every week you see a player that thinks they can go, but realizes they can\'t and will then just fall to the ground to force play to stop. Â
Better to go down voluntarily and get a sub then to start the play and suffer a head injury.
I think Shayne speaks like he blitzes - Redrum - 09-26-2010
Always just on the hairy edge of being offsides. With due respect to Farm 93\'s everybody-does-it defense, I think I like garvin\'s better: Ixnay on the confessions. Shut up, Shayne.
This has the potential to be..... -

............another luxury potty situation.
Every media type looking for an angle will grab this and totally blow it out of proportion.
"Now we know how Stanford got it turned around, they\'re cheating, they\'re dishonest, and, so on and so on..............."

I like the honesty though. Â Every team\'s done it before, and every team will do it again.

He should have just said, "I got a cramp."
Re: Shut up, Shayne - bigbadduck - 09-26-2010
I found it funny, how so many ASU players went down with "injuries" just to sit out a play, and then back on the field the next. Their LB #7 was helped off the field 4 different times during the game, just to come back a few plays later (And hurdle 3 feet in the air over a block with a so-called ankle and knee injury). When Oregon started gaining momentum, he\'d go down again. No doubt, they were trying to slow Oregon\'s momentum.
Does anyone think Stanford would stoop to that same level? I\'d think they were better than that.

Totally true. Â We will at least vary the uniform #s of guys who fake injuries. Â No more than one per #.

It\'s very common for sprinters to get a hamstring pull after being passed. Oddly, pulls sustained during the 100m very often are healed in time for the 200m at the end of the meet.

That\'s all that I ask. At least make it seem like it\'s random. #7 deserved an Oscar for those performances! :)

Quote:Fullmetal, someday you will get married, and geography suggests it wil be to some Texas girl who hunts rattlesnakes for a hobby. And if you hope to survive the experience, you will get over this fascination with honesty right now. Learning to lie convincingly to wives, football officials and 60 Minutes reporters is a skill of critical importance. I\'d add in the IRS, but they will roast your bones and gnaw your marrow pretty much no matter what you say.
If only I could be so lucky :)

agree with Redrum and Garvin. Â no comment is perfect response to media. Â
Burfict sounds like he watched a lot of World Cup this summer. Â not quite method acting....
