Shhhhh....Don\'t say anything.

Skeptics would just declare they have yet to be tested.  It is posssible that we will not learn much more with ND since they do not have the sharpest O in the land, but we will know in 2 weeks.  Everyone that follows the sport understands that Oregon\'s O is one of the country\'s best.

FWIW C.a.l was the #1 defense overall going into Nevada, and we all know how that turned out.

Stanford has not been in a close game, so that helps the stats.  At halftime in every game both teams have elected to focus on the run just to keep the game clock moving.  If Stanford is up by "only" 2 or 3 TDs for most of a game we will then be able to see if the stats hold.

Neither Sac State, UCLA, nor Wake Forest are particularly prolific passing teams...

WF and UCLA are ranked 97 and 117 in pass offense (both with ~45% completion rates). ND is #8 with 58% completions. I think we will have a better idea of our pass defense after this week (and of course, a tough test the week after).

Of course, it\'s entirely possible that Wake\'s and UCLA\'s stats are depressed by playing our #1-ranked pass D, but I doubt that\'s the entire story.

Wake couldn\'t throw against us all that well--not if Tanner Price wanted to avoid an ambulance ride.  (Also, the frosh QB and upperclassman receivers may not have had time to gel in about a week since becoming the starter.)  I feel like the speed of WF was a better weapon for them than their OL blocking.

Wake also ran for a lot of yards against Duke :)

Ha ha, that is pretty ridiculous having the #1 pass defense. I think that needs to be touted more in the media. Fangio is such a stone-cold bad-ass that I think we could develop a truly formidable defense. I really like the db\'s coach too. With the nation\'s #1 rated pass defense, what he\'s doing is clearly effective.

I want to hear Brent Mussberger be like, "Stanford comes into town with the nation\'s #1 pass defense."

I think the football team will beat Notre Dame. ND\'s secondary is thin and banged up, and they haven\'t been able to stop the run. Inexperienced Crist will make errors that kill some a drive or two.

Also, I could see the team beating oregon in a close game. I think we\'ll absolutely crush USC. Kiffin\'s strange mojo is clearly working against his team.

Looking forward to this ND game.
