If you think Jordan Williamson had it bad, -

think about that Army quarterback. Army was down 17-13, and driving deep into Navy territory. With less than two minutes left, the quarterback fumbles. Navy sings second for the 11th straight year.
That guy was positively inconsolable. He teammates, his coach, a general, the Navy coach all tried to console him. He must have cried for 15 minutes.

Quote:Army marched downfield behind senior quarterback Trent Steelman, who completed back-to-back passes to Chevaughn Lawrence to get the ball to the Navy 28. Steelman ran for five yards on third-and-1 to the 14.
But on the next play, Steelman and fullback Larry Dixon missed the exchange and nose guard Barry Dabney pounced on the ball for the Mids at the 13 with 1:04 to play, the Black Knights' third turnover of the game. Navy then ran out the clock.

Another agony of defeat (a la 2012)...
I shall never forget the cameras panning across the Autzen Stadium crowd, still rooted in their seats and openly weeping quite some minutes after the roasted Ducks had left the field. Talk about an AFLAC moment.

Army's going to be a test next year.
No. 1, Maples, looked to me like a Pac-12-caliber back. Fumblitis, though. They lose the QB, so perhaps they take a step back.
On defense, a very young unit with number 99, Keogh, and, number 23, looking pretty good; not sure there's much athleticism elsewhere.
