Might get some disagreement here, but I'd give the freshman award to Alex Carter over Hogan. Carter had the more comprehensive body of work.
Ertz's Outstanding Senior award probably a leading indicator that he's planning on leaving, I'd imagine. Also interesting is Yankey's Outstanding Junior award, as he could be a sophomore if he wanted.
But, congratulations to all listed and really everyone on the team for a highly satisfying season.

Have the scout team awards ever led to a more active roll in the coming year? Anyone of note recognized in the past? Trojon I believe was a Whalen type receiver out of Socal. I remember Martinez was a LB, but don't recall Cummings position.
Just hoping scout team is more then walk-ons and unsuccessful scholarship player as it was 50 yrs ago.

Hogan was the scout team QB last year.

I think I heard something about that Luck fellow. Plays in the midwest someplace. Hope he's doing well. :)   Â
Hopefully the current award winners can contribute as well as the past winners. I know they are sweating, bleeding and working as hard as anyone to help reach the team goal. A pat on the back and the occasional " good job" does wonders. NIce to see their effort gets recognized.
