Drew Terrell - oman - 11-30-2012

This guy has been such a joy to watch.  I love the way for most of the season he would just get pissed off when he had to make a fair catch.  I felt bad that what I thought would be his breakout year, last year, he seemed underutilized.

Anyway, should have started a Terrell thread a few weeks back, but certainly no problem with starting one now.

Ice.

I was lucky enough to have been standing near his parents at the gate. While most of the guys were still leaving the platform, he had already made it over to greet his mom and dad.

One of the most under appreciated players in a long time. Will be hugely missed.

Re: Drew Terrell - OutsiderFan - 12-01-2012

Drew Terrell has some of the most consistent hands I've ever seen on a football player, and I've never seen anyone catch punts as easily as Terrell.

Re: Drew Terrell - doubledub - 12-01-2012

My fan-friends and I generally agree that Terrell has VERY soft and sure hands.  Watch closely when he catches a punt, it is so effortless.  Unfortunately, he seems to have trouble getting open otherwise he could be a go to guy.

Re: Drew Terrell - needle - 12-01-2012

It's going to be tough to stick in the League as just a punt returner, but it's not out of the question. Most returner specialists are big play guys with the flashy combine numbers, but there are always one or two coaches who appreciate ball security as much as big-play ability.

Anyway, he's the most sure-handed punt returner I've ever seen, and obviously he's developed as a pretty sure-handed wide receiver at Stanford, so perhaps he can be a real contributor at the next level.

I have to think a NFL team would want a 100% reliable punt returner. The best hands/confidence I have ever seen.
