ESPN Bottom 10 - george - 10-03-2012

We made the "waiting list" for ESPN.com's Bottom 10 list:

Quote:Stanford's rush attack vs. Washington;

But our streak of remaining in the AP top 25 remains intact (#18 in both polls.)

I don't know if ESPN is being fair there.  65 rushing yards is nothing to be proud of, to be sure, but its awfulness is mostly in comparison with the bar that Stanford has set itself over the last 3-4 years.  You routinely see a team finish with considerably worse rushing production in high-profile games.

If I were to put the Cardinal on a Bottom 10 waiting list, I would go with our whole offense vs. Washington.  240 total yards?  That's really just sad, by the standards of any self-respecting team.

I agree. 240 total yards is pretty awful. If that's not below someone's standards, there's something wrong with that team (aka coach).  ???
