I will be checking out justin.tv for some feeds, but I can see this being a difficult one to pick up from there.

Any NYCers interested in getting a bar expedition going?

Fullmetal - for future reference, if a bar says the game is blacked out but they have the channel, make them check the channel again when the game comes on. Comcast Bay Area apparently blacks out their channel at random times on DirecTV. George and I went to a bar in Santa Monica today and they said the game was blacked out. But I did my homework, knew the DirecTV channel it was on and made the bartender check if the channel was still blacked out. And thankfully for us, it was on. Persistence pays off.

I\'m pretty sure we checked the channel several times.  We didn\'t think it was a blackout until we called another bar, which said they couldn\'t find it.  The manager said that the channel could be found but that the box just said "searching..." indefinitely.

Definitely a damper on the first big Stanford/Austin alumni club outing of the season.  (Uh, and Oliver Luck was in attendance--he took off for another bar after we\'d all given up hope, but I don\'t think he was successful with the second try.  Not a shining moment for the club.)

Was able to find it at a bar on DirecTV, but when I called at first they said they wouldn\'t know until game time.

Shame Oliver couldn\'t see the game, Andrew was very much on point.

I\'m a little surprised that Oliver doesn\'t fly out for all the games.

I recall when my son was at Air Force there were several sets of parents (including the QB\'s) who never missed a home game. They were flying to Colorado Springs from places like Seattle and Cleveland, also, so it was more than a drive down from Denver.

Received via internet chat...was that CSNBA arbitrarily cut off the Stanford game end because the time blocked out for Giants baseball had arrived...even though the game and pre-game crap were not yet started.

Except that the Wazzu-OSU game was on 697, so it wasn\'t exactly black. at least on my satellite. I don\'t know if they started at the same time as our game, though.

Note also: There were indeed some technical issues at the beginning of the telecast, and once or twice they threw up a slide on the screen while continuing the audio. But if there was ever a blank screen, it wasn\'t more than a second or two.

I was recording the game and I thought it was my DVR. The only problem I had was missing two TDs because of the glitch. They showed \'em on replay, though, so no problema.

well, if anyone wants to throw a DVD my way with the complete game on it, i\'d be grateful.  otherwise, it is just sac state, and more reliable broadcast channels are in store for Stanford\'s season thankfully.

Oliver was in Austin for the younger Luck\'s soccer tourney.  Last year Mrs. Luck did the chaperoning duties, so maybe they\'re trading off.
