Notes from the Twitterverse, again - fullmetal - 09-06-2012

CB Wayne Lyons is fine and is listed as a co-starter with Barry Browning at RCB.  FB Ryan Hewitt is not listed on the two-deep (did not practice).  WR Ty Montgomery was wearing a yellow non-contact jersey as per Kyle Bonagura.  FB Lee Ward is listed as a starter ahead of Pat Skov.

Skov and Vaughters are starting at ILB.  David Yankey is listed as a co-starter with Peat at LT.  Yankey is also listed as a starter at LG.  Frosh Kyle Murphy is listed as a co-backup at RT with Brendon Austin behind starter Cam Fleming.

Finally, the black helmets (and rest of the alternate uniforms) will be worn this weekend, it seems...

Any pictures? Or are they all on the invisible Pac-12 Network?

Probably these uniforms: http://www.beyondusports.com/stanford-nike-pro-combat-uniforms/

Invisible unis would be nice.  We could rush the ball all night long.

No, I bet they'll be the black uniforms we've worn in early-season games for the past two years (vs. Wake and UCLA) plus black helmets this time.

Wow, I hope Nunes eats his carrots this week so he can spot his receivers downfield...!

I like the black jerseys. But black helmets with the red S logo will look interesting.

Hm... not receiving the PAC-12 network may not be such a bad thing this weekend.

I take it you haven't heard of the emperor's new clothes. Either that or you have a way with puns.

I think these are the ones WIM is talking about:

I would imagine if we're going with those, it won't be the matte black helmets from the pro combat look, but rather a shiny never-before-seen black helmet.

I don't think Austin is getting the Stanford game on the Pac-12 national feed...looks like we're getting Oklahoma St. vs. Arizona instead.  Anyone got a line on what sites are streaming this weekend's game?  (sigh)

If you have access to the Pac-12 streaming site, you can access the Bay Area channel and thereby the Stanford game.

Re: Notes from the Twitterverse, again - fullmetal - 09-07-2012

That requires a Time Warner customer subscription and all, correct?

Yeah, the only one that won't work among the major cable providers is Comcast.

Re: Notes from the Twitterverse, again - fullmetal - 09-07-2012

I'm hearing from folks that Time Warner requires you to be within your home wifi network to allow streaming.  Wow...
