Yep, that\'s usually why kids pick Stanford over Kal....better paint.

Not that the comments aren\'t well-deserved, but are kids these days missing critical skills in tact and negotiation?  At this point, it\'d be just tact...

Trying to figure out who the kid is - Redrum - 08-28-2010

Not really placed in time,  could be this year or last.    Might be apocryphal, but can\'t figure why Tedford would give Stanford any positive mention.  Maybe he feels under pressure so needs to get his defense loaded and locked.

Non-specifically.  I don\'t mind JT getting it stuck to him, but if he were blissfully unaware of his program\'s shortcomings, I\'d be a happier fan.

So, fullmetal, what yer sayin\' is... - Redrum - 08-28-2010

Jeff Tedford doesn\'t have enough sense to know that his facilities are ugly unless a teenager tells him?

The closest thing I have to a guess is Ryan Hewitt, who took an official to both Cal and Stanford...though he committed a while after taking the visit to the Bares.

I think JT might have actually made that up in order to lobby for more funds from whoever pays the bills these days.  Boosters maybe.  Spare some change for a fresh coat of paint on a dying stadium?

We could offer to paint it... - Redrum - 08-28-2010

Definitely a job for the LSJUMB!

Our crack Research Dept. got right on it. - Redrum - 08-29-2010

Who could the mystery recruit be.   On the Bootleg a first-timer posted anonymously the the essence of the story was true.  Key clue: supposedly 2009 recruit class.

So the short list of Stanford commits who had both kal and Stanford offers/ visits is:
Levine Toilolo
Zach Ertz
Ryan Hewitt
Jemari Roberts.
