Jordan Richards\' national TV game - Redrum - 08-27-2010
First of all, it\'s almost half time. Jordan Richards\' team is not going to win this game. Down 28-7 against the #2 high school in the country. Grant is just a superior team in the first half. Folsom QB on the run on every play it seemed.
But for national exposure and highlights, Jordan Richards could hardly have done better. Seemed like the camera was always on him...which makes sense. Richards plays both ways. Actually, he plays three ways. Some of his best moves were as a return man.
Two good runbacks, and it seemed like he was in on every tackle...including bringing down a DB who picked off a Folsom pass.
Other good tackles, usually always around the ball. He is basically everything to Folsom.
Ooops. Grant scores w/ 20 secs left in the half on long pass. 35-7 Grant just has superior athletes. (Kal\'s) Syd-Quan Thompson\'s kid brother is a real stud.
Half ends with Grant burying Richards on an ill-conceived center screen. Five guys bring down Richards. Don\'t think we\'ll see a great game from Richards, Grant is keying on him and the Folsom QB ain\'t that great.

Had a nice 27-yard pickup just now. Nothing jaw-dropping, but certainly solid.
They\'re mentioning Stanford practically every time they mention him, so certainly decent pub right there.
Richards\' fumble on punt, - Redrum - 08-27-2010
right back to Grant cover man. Â (Sigh)
3 plays later, Â Richards called for pass interference in the end zone.
Grant TD off Richards fumble. Â Oh, well. Â Get the kharma levelled in high school.

Oh geez, now an illegal block for Richards during the punt return. Not his best night, perhaps?
Not a bad receiving night. - Redrum - 08-27-2010
13 catches for 128 yards. Â Not a bad stat for a team that really couldn\'t protect the QB and whose running game was ALL QB scrambles.

Folsom was supposed to be a power, also.
Grant must be scary good.
Scary? Â Dunno. Â But clearly superior last night - Redrum - 08-28-2010
Big DL. Â Folsom had zero run game. Â QB always on the run. Â Threw three picks under pressure that turned into TDs. Â Nose tackle a 320 lb. who can move.
OLine. Â Pretty much the opposite of Folsom. Â Not much pressure on Grant QB, time to execute. Â
Shaq Thompson: Â Syd-Quan Thompson\'s (now in NFL) kid brother, but bigger and maybe faster. Â A star on offense and defense. Â Broke tackles all night, scored a TD after running out of a gang tackle.
Come to think of it, Â maybe "scary" fits.
