Incredibly, it appears the LSJUMB had absolutely nothing to do with this...  :)

But it would be funny for them to highlight it.

Marcus is a repeat winner of the annual Adult Video News Award, has been inducted into the X-Rated Critics Organization's Adult Movie Hall of Fame and wrote the 2010 book "The Porn Star Guide to Great Sex" (St. Martin's Press), which earns a three-star review on the Barnes & Noble website.

I think he's also got a plaster cast in Heritage Hall.

So is this the movie where we finally learn why the Trojans always fail in overtime?

Clearly, this is what top recruits are really referring to when they cite U.SC's connections to Hollywood when they commit. Do you think there were any U.SC undergrad interns supporting the shoot?

76lsjumb: I wouldn't speak too soon. I'm surprised no one has inquired where Trojan alum Joe Francis was during the shooting of this film. Perhaps the LSJUMB played a role as someone's muse based on their show three years ago.

A question for those in journalism here. A few words in that article struck me as too colloquial for a newspaper article (e.g. "busted pipes", "the governing body... is broke"). I have been noticing this quite a bit lately in a lot of articles but was a bit surprised to see it in the NYT. Is this sort of thing generally considered acceptable?

Re: What's YOUR best joke here? - Kathy - 06-03-2012

No, it's not acceptable.
I edit such language (e.g., "broken pipes" or something more specific). I noticed the same type of vocabulary recently in my local paper, when a reporter referred to "busted windows" in a pile of debris after a fire. It should have been "broken glass," of course. The copy editors must be sleepwalking through some of these stories.

Copy editors are being cut.
