Fanaika wavering on verbal commitment? -

I wonder if he doesn't like our o-line/d-line depth, having to go on his Mormon mission as a freshman, or just wants to stay close to home.

Easier to feel committed to Stanford IF... - Redrum - 01-27-2012
you've actually been admitted. As of last evening, he hadn't. Probably an act of extraordinary patience for a young man to stick as long as he has.

Apparently Fanaika isn't the only one sweating admissions. Tylor Harris is going with Wake Forest if he doesn't hear about his application today.

In Fanaika's case, also, I don't think he actually submitted the application until sometime in January, so he bears some responsibility for being in this position. And given the Jontrey Tillman situation, a student would be foolish to NOT keep his options open so he can have a soft landing if he doesn't get admitted. I would think that all the "committed but not admitted" students would be thinking about Tillman's situation right about now. That only makes sense.
Hopefully both Fanaika and Harris are admitted, then they can make their decisions according to what is best for them.
