Lunardi Bracketology places Stanford on the 8/9 game - FarmBoy - 01-09-2012

I'm a bit surprised that the Pac12 is expected to send 3 teams:

Obviously, there's a lot of ball to be played between now and March, but Lunardi's a pretty good barometer on this.

Re: Lunardi Bracketology places Stanford on the 8/9 game - 76lsjumb - 01-09-2012

I followed the link just to check out Lunardi's latest permutations, but was much more intrigued by this embedded item/video just below the bracket:

Morgan State Suspends Todd Bozeman

Morgan State head coach Todd Bozeman suspended after making contact with a player.

I figured it was another recruiting thing [you know, ...old dogs, new tricks...].  I was wrong; apparently "contact" here literally means "contact" -- as in he allegedly punched the kid in the face.

Re: Lunardi Bracketology places Stanford on the 8/9 game - Farm93 - 01-09-2012

Hmmmm, Colorado is not going to make the tournament as a 14 seed.  They are getting that invite on the board right now because they are on top of the conference standings.  That will change over time.

At the moment, Stanford and Cal need to play well to get at-large invites.  Arizona appears to have the talent to be team #3.  All others would probably need to win the conference tournament.  I think the Pac-12 sends 3, and none of the three get anything higher than 7 seeds.

Stanford has 3 regular season games against the other "powers" (UofA and Cal).  Stanford must win one of those three.  If Stanford drops all three it will be NIT.
