I think it’s highly unlikely that the U*SC Toejam Band would have been performing at the game even without this special guest.

I would not expect The LSJUMB to perform at either the UH or UM games given students won't be back until later in the month (school starts Sept 22 with move ins starting on Sept 15), which also means very few students at the games.

I would not expect The LSJUMB to perform at either the UH or UM games given students won't be back until later in the month (school starts Sept 22 with move ins starting on Sept 15), which also means very few students at the games.

Honestly, that's pretty freaking sad. Stanford students are only in school for four home games this year and one of those games is against Elon. And the SMU game is two days after Thanksgiving so not many students at that game, either.

we should have two of our first three games on the road, and preferably two back-to-back on the east coast and the team stays on the east coast between those games

The team has never stayed on the east coast between back to back east coast games.

I know they have not, but they should if they had two east coast games before school starts.

Given the moribund nature of LSJUMB, DAPER apparently thinks it's a good idea to bring in an iconic hip-hop artist to crank up the PA-system volume and possibly use profanity and misogynistic vocab and themes to "entertain" the crowd. Does DAPER actually expect E-40 to induce a substantial number of new families or hip-hop fans to buy tickets to the game? I'm skeptical that the extra ticket income generated by his halftime show will exceed the fee DAPER pays him plus the cost of hiring extra security guards.
