NCAA Men's Soccer changes to Fall to Spring season calendar in 2027 - northathertonutd - 05-13-2026

I assume Stanford has (or will have) the field space to accommodate this change?

Considering there will be less contention with women’s soccer in the fall, field space shouldn’t be an issue. Or at least no worse of an issue.

They’ll have to compete with lacrosse for field space.

Most of the regular season will still be played in the fall.

Yeah basically you split men’s soccer across women’s soccer and women’s lacrosse seasons. In addition Lacrosse plays fewer games then women’s soccer; so I don’t see how contention for space can be worse then current state.
