Who will be the earliest Cardinal picked?

I read a mock with Roush in the 4th round.

I think the Ringer has a top 100 players, and Sam Roush is the only player on that list.

David Bailey did get his degree.  He will be the first Cardinal taken.

RE: 2026 NFL Draft - DC 86 - 04-23-2026

David Bailey either #2 or #3 overall.
Sam Roush round 3-4.
Collin Wright round 5-7.
And that will be it.

RE: 2026 NFL Draft - Giants - 04-24-2026

Fun fact…

Mendoza and Bailey (drafted 1/2 overall) originally were slated to go to the Ivy League (Mendoza - Yale and Bailey - Harvard).  Of course, Cal and Stanford made a late push and ended up signing them to play in the Bay Area.

Instead of playing against each other in The Game, they played on opposite sides in The Big Game.

And, both graduated before moving on to schools that made the playoffs.

College Football News had projected Collin as a 6th round pick, and lists him as one of the Top 50 most valuable UDFAs.

FWLIW, UCLA (3-9) had zero players drafted for the first time since 2012.

UCLA has zero NFL draft picks for the first time since 2012

Two B1G10 teams other than UCLA who had no players drafted were Purdue and Wisconsin.

ACC runner up Virginia also had no players drafted. Same with Syracuse, Virginia Tech and North Carolina.

Also on the list: Colorado, West Virginia, Oklahoma State. No players drafted.

Does this mean we should be excited about Jones coming over from UVA? One of these is not like the others.

UCLA (3-9)
Purdue (2-10)
Wisconsin (4-8)
Virginia (11-3)
Syracuse (3-9)
Virginia Tech (3-9)
North Carolina (4-8)
Colorado (3-9)
West Virginia (4-8)
Oklahoma State (1-11)

My UVA insider speculates this is about Jones teaching Luck how to do this and then Jones gets to be AD somewhere.

Defensive lineman Jaxson Moi, who played 2 years at Stanford before transferring to Tennessee, has been signed as an UDFA by the Rams.
