My interest in Niners is on the brink - gailtate - 09-13-2024

Christian McCaffrey is headed to the I.R. His Achilles tendinitis may be the beginning of the end of a sterling career. But, hey, he had a legendary run. Best wishes to him and his family.

Please be careful when you jump of the bandwagon. Don't break an ankle...

My interest in Ess Eff ebbs and flows depending on a Stanford element. Been that way since the John Brodie years. I'm not a bandwagoneer. I'm a Cardinalmaniac.

I never saw Frankie Albert or Bruno Banducci, but I liked watching Brodie and Benjamin and Paye and Plunkett and Stenstrom. I liked watching the McCaffreys play for the 49ers, both Ed and Christian. In all, fifty Cardinal (and Indian) players have suited up for the scarlet and gold, from Justin Armour to Gene Washington. I think the Niners will always have a Stanford alum on their roster, whether it's a role player like Curtis Robinson or a star like Christian McCaffrey.
