Attended a game in Maples for the first time in 20 years -
cctop - 12-31-2023
I took my 19-year-old son to his first-ever game at Maples today.
We fully expected to get blown out (come on, all of you expected it too) but what a great game it was!
Although the campus around Maples has completely changed in 20 years, watching a game there feels exactly the same. Minus the bouncy floor, of course.
I credit my new lucky socks for the win. I picked them up yesterday at my local Costco, which oddly was offering Stanford and UCLA socks but not Cal.

Clearly you need to go to every game for the rest of the season. Wearing those socks.

We will let you wash them, though. ;-)

Interesting they offered UCLA. Here in the East Bay, it's all Ɔɐl all the time.
But, yes, you must continue to attend every game...
