Tanner McKee - old spanish trail - 08-13-2023
Caught 2nd and 3rd quarters of Phil vs Baltimore yesterday. McKee is third qb after Hurts and Mariotta. He played well. 10-20 for 140 yds. Had several beautiful long throws and was sacked maybe once. Good for him.

Speaking of Stanford players in the NFL...I read that Kaden Smith signed with Washington. I hope he sticks.

Would be amazing to have a starting QB that sticks again. Davis Mills didn't pan out (not all his fault)

CJ Stroud throwing a pick on his first series wasn't exactly an auspicious debut. He was yanked after two series. Preseason, but Mills was way more effective.

Too early to discard Mills. He's on one of the worst offensive teams in the NFL. Have him go to a better team, and he may become a Ryan Tannehill type QB... steady but not spectacular.
Get him to San Francisco, Miami, Minnesota, Washington, and he'd compete for playing time and be a capable backup if the starter goes down.

Marriota played first half for Eagles this eve vs the Browns. He was fairly ineffective. McKee played 2nd half and was 10/18 for 147 yds, with a couple drops, and 1 TD. Eagles fans are either agonizing or climbing aboard the McKee train.

Small sample size. We'll see what happens during remaining games.
