Is the Directors Cup on the line in the Baseball Super? - Blue Hawk (Mizzou) Card - 06-06-2023

Just saw a post on a Texas fan site suggesting that, due to the unexpectedly strong softball finish, Stanford could clinch the Cup with a Super Regional win.

The post said Texas would win if it won the Super and finished 5th or better in Omaha.

I have two questions for our Directors Cup gurus:

1. Have our Texas friends forgotten or ignored the "one Stanford team's score knocks out the points from another Stanford team" factor? [Stanford is probably the only school that has to worry about this.]

2. What about outdoor track?

Though I am aware that many here don't care about the Cup, I do. It's fun that, in a sense, it is up for grabs this weekend.

I'm with you, I still keep loose tabs on the Cup.  Glad Stanford gets to host the super regional...I feel like they'll need every advantage they can get over a hot Texas team.

I think Texas cares more about winning the Directors Cup than Stanford.  We've been there and done that.  However, how nice would it be for our baseball team to beat theirs in the Super Regional and take away their candy?

It turns out we didn't need to steal their candy, they just dropped it all on their own.
