AFCA Convention Ends Today. Any News? - cardcrimson - 01-11-2022
The AFCA (American Football Coaches Association) Convention ends today. There was a lot of conjecture earlier that this is where head coaches find assistants and upgrade their staffs. Any news of our guys getting poached? How about new hires for us?

On another front, no agreement on changing the 4 game playoff format. According to Bowlsby, they didn’t come close. So, we can whine another few years about who is in. And we can bet the PAC-12 will be left out, unless SC rises. Which bothers me not a bit. (Sure as hell don’t want to see SC in final four).
It would bother me if Stanford was in contention. But that shipped sailed, was sunk and is somewhere at the bottom of the ocean floor. Maybe Cameron can find it…….

S&C assistant leaving after just one year on the job. This is the third straight year that has happened.
The good ones are getting poached.

Talk about burying the lead. The fact that a sports performance coach was poached implies that there was sports performance last year. That would be news to me.
