WBB: streaming question re Sunday game (Pacific) - TonyLima - 12-12-2021

The Pac-12 network has managed to hide this game. I watch streaming on fubo.tv. Not there. If it’s on ESPN+ it sure would be nice to know. Pac-12 network website says my provider is not authorized. Any ideas? To save some discussion I’ll just add that my wife and I will not let cable or satellite tv into our house.

Best,
Tony

Free live stream at pac-12.com

For Stanford games, I like to find the links by going to the Go Stanford site. Easier than finding the link among the clutter of non-Stanford games. Also, the PAC-12 website separates "live" games vs "upcoming" games and if you go to the site a few minutes early, it can be confusing whether the Stanford game is among the "live" or "upcoming" ones.
Also, if you are not sure which network it is on (PAC-12, ESPN, ESPNU, host school live stream, etc.) you don't have to guess.
Go Stanford

Tried all those. Pac-12 mobile app kept telling me my tv provider (fubo.tv) was not valid. Could not find the game anywhere. I, too, start from gostanford.com. Did not work. This was likely a Pac-12 network screwup because everything worked fine for the men’s game.

Go to gostanford. So very easy

I don't think that live streams other than "Pac-12 Insider" are available on the mobile app. You may have to use a computer to watch them. Trying to go to the web site on a mobile may redirect you to the app, from which you then can't get the stream.

Ah! Terrific suggestion. Many thanks.

Tonight's WBB game against UC Davis is a "Stanford Live Stream" production (as opposed to a "Pac-12 Insider" production). Out of curiosity, I tried streaming it four different ways:
(1) MacBook Pro, using Safari and the Go Stanford link.
(2) iPad, using Google and the Go Stanford link.
(3) iPad, using Safari and the Go Stanford link.
(4) iPad, using Pac-12 Now app.

For me, all four methods worked fine.

Streaming on the Android app is working for this game too.

I tried watching it on my Android phone and the video kept freezing after less than a minute of watching the game.

Ugh. That's a step above the app not having the stream, but not a strong one. I was actually at the game and only watched the stream on Android for 5 seconds to confirm it was available.

I wonder if the freezing has anything to do with the available download speed of whichever WiFi network you are on. I had freezing issues before I switched to a mesh network and higher download speeds.
This link lets you test the available download speed on your Xfinity/Comcast WiFi (don't know if it will work on other WiFi networks).

We have ATT fiber and a mesh wifi network. Interestingly, the mobile app works better than Safari on my iPad.
